VISITORS
Please press the buzzer when you arrive. Let the gate team know which company you’re from and who you’re here to see. All visits must be booked in advance – we’re unable to accept unplanned drop-ins. When you arrive, please check in at HQ reception. For health, safety, and food safety reasons, all visitors must be registered.
Please note: Windows must be kept closed going through both sets of gates due to antibacterial spraying. Please also respect that the speed limit for all vehicles on site is 10mph, due to pedestrian walkways throughout the parking areas.
If you’re visiting outside of office hours (9am–5pm), please contact your host directly – they’ll meet you at reception. Visitors should never enter the work areas on their own.
DELIVERIES AND COLLECTIONS
If you’re driving a lorry or van, you’ll be directed to a bay where one of our team members will meet you. For all other deliveries and collections, please head to HQ reception.
Site Hygiene Requirements
Please be aware that you will be asked to adhere to the following hygiene requirements while on the manufacturing site:
Protective clothing, headwear, snoods and shoes will be issued and must be worn prior to entering any production area and worn correctly at all times whilst within production areas.
Hands must be washed with bactericidal soap and sanitised before entering the production areas, as well as on leaving.
Personal effects may not be taken into production areas. This includes mobile phones and cameras (unless previously agreed with the company representative). Photographic equipment is only allowed if authorised in advance by Management.
No heavy perfume, strong smelling deodorants or excessive makeup to be worn.
No jewellery, other than a single plain wedding band, watches or fitness tracker devices must not be worn into production area. The wedding band must be smooth with no intricate design or stone settings.
Glasses and contact lenses are permitted but any damage or loss must be immediately reported.
Nail varnish (clear or coloured), false nails (acrylic or other) and / or nail art are not permitted.
False eyelashes are not permitted.
Cuts, grazes and boils must be covered with a blue waterproof dressing which will be provided as necessary. If visitors are wearing plasters on arrival, they must be of the correct type and must be checked to confirm present and intact on exit from the facility.
You will be accompanied at all times whilst on site; this is for your safety. In the event of a fire or other emergency please follow instructions given by your company representative or fire warden.
Contractors – Please ensure your RAMS (Risk assessment, Method statement) has been sent at least 48 hours before your arrival, please ensure you control the use of equipment & materials to prevent the risk of product contamination (e.g. foreign bodies, taint). Please ensure that you are issued with a permit to work which is signed and returned to confirm hand back of equipment / areas after completion of works. Raise any queries or concerns with your Stonegate contact.
Personal medication such as inhalers, injection kits etc must be reported to reception & left there if entering the Packing Centre. They are not permitted to be taken into the facility or storage areas. Where it is essential that medication is retained on the person this must be agreed with the accompanying manager in advance of entering the packing centre.
No substances to be brought onto the site without the prior consent of Technical Manager and Health & Safety Manager, Safety data sheets should be sent through for review before chemicals are brought on site. No substance, other than those already used in the production areas, may be taken into the food handling areas without the prior consent of Technical Manager and Health & Safety Manager.
The following allergens may be found on site: Egg, Celery, Gluten (Barley), Mustard and Milk. The site is nut & sesame free. Please notify your Stonegate contact if you are bringing any allergenic material onto site.
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in the designated smoking areas. Eating is only permitted in the canteen or in a designated meeting room. PPE (except for safety shoes) must not be worn in the canteen or smoking areas.
You must refrain from handling any food, production materials or utensils unless specifically authorised.
Health & Safety Declaration
- All visitors are subject to applicable Health & Safety legislation. Any accidents, injuries, and near misses etc. must be reported to your host and the relevant first aider.
- In case of Emergency, all visitors must remain with and follow the instruction of your host.
- Please observe the onsite No Smoking Policy. Smoking or Vaping is only permitted in the designated Smoking shelters. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in removal from site.
- This site is subject to COSHH regulations. If you will be handling any chemicals, please follow all COSHH regulations as instructed.
- Signage on site must be followed at all times:
- Blue – Must Do (PPE)
- Green – Fire Exit
- Red – Prohibited actions
- Yellow – Hazard
