Stonegate rise to a monster challenge and smash the target!

05 June 2014

On Saturday 17th May 2014 a 22 strong team of Stonegate employees completed a very gruelling physical challenge “The Monster Race” at Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire.

The race took place on a 12k course that included a number of different obstacles along the way from water to high walls and even barbed wire!

Nick Rogers, Stonegate Managing Director comments “This was a really tough challenge, the sheer determination of the team was awe-inspiring, this helped to motivate at a time when energy levels were low. We were all pleased to reach the finishing line and are chuffed that we have been able to contribute towards such worthwhile causes.”

All 22 members of the team whom varied in different levels of fitness passed the 12k finish line, a great result that will allow the fund total, which is now heading above £3000 with some donations still to be collected, to be divided equally and passed onto Dorothy House and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

He continues “The fund target was set at £2000 and as you can see this has been well and truly smashed, something we would not have achieved without the fantastic support of our suppliers and businesses linked to Stonegate. A huge thank you is due to everyone involved and to those who contributed from suppliers to colleagues to friends, Thank you!”
