Marketing accolade for Stonegate 'Lions'

Stonegate have once more been recognised for their contribution to egg marketing in the UK. At the British Egg Awards 2006, Stonegate were given the top award for 'Best Marketing' as a result of their 'Big Lions on eggs' initiative.

A big Lion symbol is printed onto the top of every egg packed at the Lacock packing centre. Ten million eggs a week carry the large symbol to be very clear about the provenance of the product. Any shoppers who may overlook the label on the pack are left in no doubt once the lid is opened - which is very often done at point of sale.

Michael Kent, Stonegate Chairman says "Once again Stonegate are in the forefront of promoting the Lion Quality symbol, the UK's best known food assurance mark. Our investment clearly reminds many millions of shoppers a week as to the quality of the product they are buying. The big Lion allows Stonegate's retail customers to demonstrate their committment to quality as well".
